Hall of Fame Inductee Mr. Paul Coffey visiting Martin Collegiate!!!

 Paul Coffey has amassed a wide range of awards over the course of his professional playing career.  Coffey ranks 2nd all-time among NHL defenceman in career goals, assists and points behind only Ray Bourque. Paul Coffey was born in Weston, Ontario. Some of these awards and recognitions include:


  • 4 time Stanley Cup Champion
  • 3 time Canada Cup Winner as a member of Team Canada
  • 3 Time Norris Trophy Winner as the NHL’s best defenceman
  • NHL 1st team all-star 4 times
  • NHL 2nd team all-star 4 times
  • Voted to the NHL all-star game – 14 times
  • Ranked 13th all – time in the NHL for career points
  • Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2004

Martin's Tobacco Free Event

In an effort to provide education and support for students to be Tobacco Free and for others to support Tobacco Free life choices, we have planned some events for January and February.  The Canadian Cancer Society is supporting our campaign and Kelsey Michaluk from the Canadian Cancer Society will be helping us out.    The Campaign will include, an Interactive Lunch Display, guest speakers, lunch meetings, posters, etc.

University of Saskatchewan:  February 15, 2016 is the deadline to apply for Education, Business, Engineering, Kinesiology and Music. May 1, 2016 is the deadline for Agriculture/Bioresources and Arts and Science.

Saskatchewan Polytechnic Campus:  February 15 deadlines for Dental Hygiene, Medical Radiologic Technology, Power Engineering Technology, Practical Nursing and Psychiatric Nursing. 

University of Saskatchewan:  March 1, 2016 is the deadline for Competitive Entrance Awards.

Global Explorers Program (Application Deadline: February 12, 2016)
By attending 6 Saturday training courses, students in Grade 10, 11 or 12 will acquire introductory knowledge and skills required to work in a global context.  The sessions start in March, 2016 and can be used to obtain a high school credit.  Talk to Guidance for more information.

U of R Grade 11 University Preview:  February 19 (this is a free 1/2 day event that includes a mock lecture, hands-on activities and a tailgate party with free pizza.  Register on the U of R Website before January 30, 2016).
