Holiday Activities at Martin

Adopt-A-Family

Raise money in your PRIDE to help adopt a family for Christmas.  Grade groups will compete against each other to see who can raise the most money.  All money raised is due by Dec. 16th.

Ways to do this…

Toonie Tuesday - Donate a toonie to PRIDE on Dec. 6th and 13th.  All money will go towards the total sum collected from each grade group for Adopt-A-Family

Create Your Own fundraiser - selling cupcakes, crafts, cards, etc.; pay-to-play xbox/playstation/board games at lunch; send singing telegrams, etc…  Be creative!

Make It Stop Fundraising - Starting December 5th, donate money (coins, bills, etc.) to the office during PRIDE to stop the “singing” and/or carols being played over the intercom.  Money donations will be recorded by what grade group has donated them.

Giving Tree for the Food Bank

Bring non-perishable food items to your PRIDE to donate to the food bank.  Weekly weigh-ins will occur every Friday and PRIDE points will be earned based on weight of donations. The first weigh-in is this Friday - Dec. 2nd.  The last chance to donate is Dec. 16th.

Ornament Challenge

Design and create a Christmas ornament for our food bank Giving Tree.  Ornaments need to be hung by Dec. 13th for judging and PRIDE points.

Candy Cane O’Grams

From December 5th to 10th, buy Candy Cane messages for a $1.00 to send to your friends, teachers, and/or your special someones.  You need to know their full name and PRIDE teacher/grade.
